Lisa Tan and Gina Nguyen are sisters-in-law who started Toast + Timber in the early 2018 in Lisa’s garage.
Both DIY queens decided to open a workshop to invite people to come together and share a fun social crafting experience.
While the Round Rock brick and mortar location was being built, Toast + Timber hosted pop-up workshops in local breweries and distilleries all around Austin. We had such a fun time getting to know the locals and getting feedback on nailing down our process. Sipping on a flight of beers was definitely a bonus!
We love bringing people together in a fun and unique way and sharing an unforgettable experience. We want everyone to come into the workshop, have fun, make great memories, and go home with something they are proud of, even if you don’t have any sort of artistic skills.

Our workshops allow anyone to come and create a stunning piece of home decor without any experience! We will walk you through step by step to create your project. During the booking process, you will enter your project and design information so we can have the materials and stencil ready before you arrive. Every workshop is pick-your-own-project, so everyone can work on something totally different!
What Should I Expect?
Get ready to put on your T+T apron, to have some fun, and enjoy your favorite snacks or beverages.
You’ll make great memories next to your loved ones, your friends, or co-workers.
We’ll walk you through everything as you create your own project to take home and display or give it to someone as a gift!

How long is each workshop?
Usually, it takes 3 hours for each workshop, however, sometimes our workshops are finished prior to that time and sometimes when you are having way too much fun, it might last a tad bit longer.
Can my friends hang out and not paint or can 2 people work on one project together?
Our projects are one person per project. Registration is required and 1 registration is for 1 person unless otherwise noted. Everyone will enjoy themselves more if they are crafting! Who wants to watch paint dry anyway. 😉
How many people are required for a workshop?
You may register for an open workshop individually or as a group. If a workshop does not reach at least 4 attendees, we may have to rebook your workshop.
Is food or alcohol allowed?
Yes, and it is highly encouraged! We will gladly provide wine glasses, koozies, bottle openers, and corkscrews. We are located near plenty of liquor stores, restauants, and local eateries for your convenience.
What time should I arrive for a workshop?
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled workshop time to allow time to set up and get situated to ensure our workshop will start on time.
Is sizing accurate?
Sizing is approximate, but we try our best to cut the wood as accurately as possible.

What is your refund policy?
Due to the custom nature of our workshops, registration fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance of a workshop will be given credit to reschedule another workshop time.
Do you host private parties?
YES! We will gladly schedule and host private parties for birthdays, bridal showers, corporate team building events, networking socials, and more! Please contact us for all private party bookings. A 20% deposit will be required upon booking. If a cancellation is made 10 days prior to the scheduled event, the deposit is 100% refundable. If a cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to the scheduled event, the deposit is non-refundable.
-The minimum number of guests required for a private party is 15
-The maximum number of guests cannot exceed 40
-The time frame for private parties is 3 hours however, we will allow you 30 minutes prior to set up any additional decorations
-We will provide everything you need! We will take care of set up, art materials, tools, hanging hardware, and clean up.
-We will gladly provide wine glasses, koozies, bottle openers, and corkscrews.
Is there an additional charge for custom designs?
Simple changes of words within our standard designs are made with no additional charges. Significant changes or custom requests must be pre-approved prior to registration and a customization fee of $15 will apply. All custom design requests must be made at least 72 hours prior to the workshop date.
Are there risks involved with attending a workshop?
You will be exposed to stains, paint, drills, hammers, nails, sand paper, and other hand held tools, so precautions need to be taken. Paint, stain, and dust are very likely to be moving around during the workshop, so please select your clothing with this is mind. By registering for a class, you agree to our terms and conditions.
Do we have to choose our sign size and design before the workshop?
Yes—you will submit your size and design choice during your registration.
Do I need to select my stain and paint colors before the workshop?
Absolutely not! We have a variety of stains and paints you can choose from during the workshop.
Are children allowed?
Children are allowed and must be supervised by an adult during the workshop. Please be aware our workshops are BYOB. Our workshop does not have high chairs or booster seats, and our stools are counter height.
What is the deadline to book a class?
Class registration must be made 24 hours prior to the workshop time.
Where will I be seated?
The registration form will allow you to enter who you’d like to sit by, however, there are many variables that we consider when creating a seating arrangement, and some requests just aren’t possible.
